Difficulties of the post-war period

In the year 1947 nearly 3,500 tractors were sold – about one third to Ireland, Poland, Denmark and Belgium. The number was not low despite a manufacturing capacity of 28 tractors a day during that period. Certain reserves were found in the absence of manufacturing, especially machining tools. And so the search for tools began across the country. They were eventually found underground: in the caves of the Moravian Karst near Brno where the Nazis had built workshops for their war production.
