Musil possessed a lot of experience in designing diesel engines. The demand of the time resulted in his proposed tractor Zetor 30. The tractor used the direct injection system (as one of the first in the world) for fuel consumption reduction and was equipped with a hydraulic plough lift with a new construction. The tractor received the gold medal at the agricultural exhibition in Prague in 1948, but in the same year production was stopped following an order to that effect issued by the National Committee. The National Committee decided that tractors of higher power categories were needed. Thus the award was swept to the floor.
