Apart from tractors Zbrojovka Brno also focused on other production (motorcycle engines, firearms, typewriters). This limited the volume of tractor production. After the war the company purchased premises in the eastern outskirts of the city, since 1942 used by the German aircraft engine manufacturer, Flugmotorenwerke Ostmark. The plant needed to be reconstructed as most of it had been destroyed by allied bombing. Zbrojovka first transferred the manufacture of textile machines there but then transfer of the Z 25 tractor production to the Líšeň premises appeared more convenient. This was in 1952.
