Lack of hydraulic hitch systems for axle load relief and the slow development of suitable tractor tires in the fifties were the main reasons for increased demand for crawlers. Zetor reacted to the demand in 1956 with a crawler embodiment of the Zetor 35 known as the Zetor Super P, first introduced at the second exhibition of Czechoslovak engineering industry at the Brno fair grounds. The weight of the crawler was nearly double the weight of the non-crawler version! Around 4,200 units were made up to 1958.
