In 1971 the largest Indian manufacturer of machine tools, Hindustan Machine Tools, executed a licensing contract with Motokov for the local manufacture of the Zetor 2511 under the brand name HMT. The tractor established itself and models with higher power were demanded. In 1990 cooperation was closed and HMT took over the whole tractor manufacture.
